Advanced Programming for Biologists 2007


Practical organisation


The course is held in a one-week session, and requires full-time attendance during this week.
The locale is the Biozentrum of the University of Basel. The Biozentrum can be conveniently reached by public transportation or by car (see below).

Sessions runs from 9:00 to 18:00 approximately, with a lunch break and coffee breaks. As a general rule, each day consist of a theoretical introduction and hands-on practical exercises under the supervision of the course staff.

The course is supported by the Swiss Committee for Molecular Biology. We have currently no funding to give support to the participants, but we might offer partial reimbursement of travel expenses to students from the Swiss Universities or other Swiss academic institutions.

The registration fee for academics is 100 CHF.
The registration fee for industry participant is 150 CHF.

Course language: English

ECTS accreditation has been introduced for our courses starting from 2006. Note that successfull participating graduate students (full-time attendance and exam passed) will have to inquire if these credits are accepted by their respective graduate schools.
